The Cathedral of St John the Baptist is the Mother Church of the Diocese of East Anglia and the parish church of central and south-west Norwich.
Built in 1910, the Cathedral itself boasts amazing architecture and structural presence. It’s the only building in Norfolk where a visit to the top of the tower allows 360-degree views across the city and far beyond.
With a raft of information to display, ranging from the religious fraternity to events, the Narthex café and its additional catering services, the Cathedral gardens, educational visits, music, and, of course, donations to preserve the Cathedral and more, there was a lot of information to consider when building a new digital experience for those wishing to visit, worship, volunteer, and support.
OUR APPROACH
With a wide range of information to deliver to the user about St Johns Cathedral services, facilities, and latest news, we carefully considered every element of the new site structure. Through thoughtful design and a focus on the user journey, along with visually striking images, we were able to create a website that offers a great online experience and reaches out to the community.
Charley Purves, Cathedral Manager, who led the project, said:
"Fabulous service from Suzy, Dan and Julia. The team have worked so hard to regenerate our website to give it a new fresh feel and bring it to life. The response we've had to the new site has been brilliant. The dedication, technical and creative aspects cannot be faulted."
